Kool-Aid Playdough

Okay, so no, this is not a food, but it is a recipe! And it is one that I love! This playdough is pretty and smells awesome (it also makes your hands soft because of the oil). It is an awesome project for you to do with your kids, the kids you babysit, the kids you teach, etc. It is a no-cook option, but it does use boiling water so BE CAREFUL and don't let the kids do the last bit. As it cools they can knead it and start playing with it!

Kool-Aid Playdough

      1 c. flour
      1/2 c. salt
      3 tbsp. oil
1 sm. pkg. Kool Aid (any color)*

Combine flour, salt, oil and Kool-Aid. Add 1 cup boiling water. Stir together. Knead mixture until it forms a soft dough. MAKE SURE an adult does that step until it is cool enough for the kiddos. This play dough will keep indefinitely if kept sealed when not in use.

*You can use off-brands if you want to but I've found that none of the other brands have as pretty a color or as nice a smell.

I made this the other day with kids I was babysitting. Here are some pics!
