Spiked Apple Pie

This has been the apple pie recipe my dad has used for years. It is a favorite at our families' dinners.

6 apples, peeled and thinly sliced
1/4 c lemon juice
1/2 c bourbon whiskey
2 TBS flour
2/3 c granulated sugar
1 TBS cinnamon
Dash of ground nutmeg
2 tsp brown sugar
Prepared 2-crust pie crust
Milk
Granulated sugar

Combine first three ingredients, stirring to coat. Chill. Drain apple mixture and return 1/4 c liquid to apples. Stir in flour and next 4 ingredients. Chill. Place bottom pie crust in 9 in pie plate and prick the bottom and sides. Fill with apple mixture, forming a dome. Put on top crust, flute edges or press with a fork. Brush with milk and sprinkle with sugar. Cover edges with foil. Bake on a baking sheet at 375 for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 20-25 minutes.
